An Update on Workshops

Many apologies to everybody about the lack of posting on this site. Both jenny and I have been busy with numerous current commitments but it does not mean that we have not been busy in the back ground.
Firstly some rather sad news for those of you who don’t know. We were really looking forward to India Flint coming to join us to deliver a workshop. Unfortunately a prior commitment now means she cannot make it. However we will have some of her lovely work at the exhibition so she will be with us in spirit. The good news is that we have persuaded the lovely Fabienne Dorsman-Rey to step into the breach to deliver a different but equally brilliant workshop for us. This is a very rare opportunity to learn from an extremely giving tutor so for anyone interested in eco-printing so we anticipate the workshop will fill up very quickly.
For anyone interested in what else will be on offer, they are as follows
Jenny Leslie – Organic Indigo and various natural resists
Sarah Waters – Sculptural Felt
Caroline Bell and Alison Hulme – Screen Printing with Natural Dyes
Alice Fox – Mark making with rust
If all goes well registration for the workshops will go live very shortly.

Registration Of Interest

We are thinking that although a long way off it would be nice to get an idea of numbers of submissions for our exhibition. We are therefore asking if people could let us know if they are thinking about doing something. We do not need any details at this juncture just a register of intent. Please send this to fromtheearthtextiles@gmail.co.uk or alternatively send a message on our facebook page.

In the meantime we can now confirm that India Flint will definitely be doing a workshop for us from 13th June to 17th of June. We will be drawing up the full workshop programme later on this yearIMG_0204
